We are pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2015, Andy Burns has become the firm’s managing partner.  Andy takes the reins from Jill Laney, who has served as managing partner since 2010.

In his current practice, Andy represents contractors and developers as the head of the firm’s Construction Law Practice Group, handling complicated construction issues and defect disputes. However, his practice history includes successful defense work in matters of personal injury, products liability and premises liability litigation.

“We all sincerely appreciate Jill’s hard work and many achievements during her term as managing partner,” said Andy. “I look forward to the challenge of building on her strong foundation.”

Andy earned his undergraduate degree in economics at the University of Oregon and later his law degree from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar, the Washington State Bar and the United States District Court for Oregon. He has served on the Multnomah County Local Professional Responsibility Committee and the State Lawyer Assistance Committee.  As a respected voice on construction matters, he is a frequent speaker and writer on a wide variety of topics in the field.
