We are excited to welcome Nathan M. Ford as an associate attorney. Nathan’s law practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, employment law, personal injury, and appellate work. He graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2023 and is admitted to practice in Oregon and Iowa.

Prior to joining Cosgrave, Nathan clerked for the Honorable Perry B. Inos of the Supreme Court of the Northern Mariana Islands, a U.S. territory, where he drafted appellate opinions in a wide variety of cases, including issues in probate, contract, civil and appellate procedure, tort, criminal law, and professional and judicial ethics. During his clerkship, Nathan led the judicial committees to revise the rules of criminal and traffic procedure, and he spearheaded the project to create model jury instructions for the jurisdiction, for which he received the Court’s Associate Justice Award for exemplary service.

Nathan has a B.A. in Applied Linguistics from Grinnell College and is fluent in English and Spanish. Outside of the office, Nathan enjoys cross-country running, reading, freediving, and taking care of his houseplants.
