We are pleased to announce that Shane Swilley has been named partner of the firm.  Shane has worked for the firm since 2010 handling employment litigation and providing individuals and businesses with human resources advice and counsel.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Shane was a National Merit Scholar and he earned his bachelor’s degree from Willamette University. He attended Lewis and Clark Law School, where he was a student representative to the American Bar Association.  An avid outdoor enthusiast, Shane originally intended to pursue environmental law, but was later drawn to employment law.

“I am truly honored to become a partner with Cosgrave Vergeer Kester.  The lawyers and staff are exceptional and a joy to work with every day,” Shane said, “I look forward to many more years of working with our clients and growing the firm’s employment law practice.”

In his practice, Shane has represented clients and businesses in employment law matters and commercial disputes. He has sought and earned many favorable jury verdicts and dismissals for his clients.  His insight and expertise has led to client’s retaining him to train human resource departments in employment law issues, employer contracts, employee handbooks and workplace policies.

“We have been very pleased with Shane’s work as an associate and look forward to welcoming him as a partner,” said Managing Partner Andy Burns.
