On Wednesday, October 25th, attorneys Shane Swilley and Tim Fransen presented to the Human Resources Committee of the Oregon Bankers Association.  The presentation included a primer on Oregon’s Equal Pay Act.  The Act significantly expands the scope of Oregon’s Equal Pay Law to apply to a broad range of classes beyond gender.  It also imposes significant restrictions on when employers can request salary history of applicants.  Employers are expected to comply in full with the law by January 1, 2019.
