Law Practice

Josephine’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, contract disputes, construction defects, and tort litigation.  She practices in both Oregon and Washington, working closely with clients in a wide variety of industries.  She enjoys finding client-focused solutions for complex problems.

Prior to joining Cosgrave, Josephine worked as a student attorney for the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project, where she represented prisoners in administrative hearings for alleged misconduct.

Education & Bar Admissions

Josephine earned her law degree from Boston University School of Law, where she was a member of the International Law Journal and a Distinguished Scholar.  She spent her final year of law school studying in Paris where she earned a master’s in European Union Law from University of Paris II Pantheon-Assas.  She graduated cum laude from Barnard College with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Human Rights.

Josephine is a member of the Oregon State Bar and Washington State Bar.
