Law Practice

Matthew is an associate attorney and graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law. He originally joined Cosgrave as a Summer Law Clerk in 2023.

Matthew’s law practice focuses on employment, product liability, and business and commercial litigation. He takes pride in guiding clients through the litigation process and working closely with them to obtain a favorable result in lawsuits and business disputes. He also has experience providing legal advice to businesses to ensure compliance with employment laws and working with employees in compensation disputes, wage claims, unlawful terminations, and more.

During law school, Matthew gained unique experience externing for the Honorable Ann Aiken in the United States District Court. He also spent time working in the Small Business Clinic at Oregon Law, providing lower income business owners with legal assistance. He was also Vice President of the Law and Entrepreneurship Student Association, a Lewis and Ann Williams Business Law Fellow, and Legal Research and Writing Tutor.

Education & Bar Admissions

Matt graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Business Management. He earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2024 and is an Order of the Coif graduate.

Matt became a member of the Oregon State Bar in 2024 and a member of the Washington State Bar in 2025.

Professional

Matt is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association and the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel.

Personal

In his free time, Matt enjoys playing soccer, eating fresh pasta, and watching the Seahawks.
