We’re pleased to announce that attorneys Megan Evans and Dan Peterson have been made partner, effective January 2017. Both have worked as associates at the firm.

Megan Evans is a graduate of the University of Oregon and the University of Oregon Law School.  Her practice areas include complex multi-party litigation, technology law, and construction law. In addition to working as an associate for Cosgrave Vergeer Kester LLP, Megan has worked as in-house counsel for Mentor Graphics negotiating end user software license and custom software agreements. Her vast technical knowledge is particularly well suited to the ever-changing landscape of business law in the Silicon Forest.

“It is always a pleasure to see our associates promoted to partner,” says Managing Partner Andy Burns. “Megan and Dan are excellent examples of the partners we are proud to have as part of the future of the firm.”

Dan Peterson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the University of Oregon Law School.  His practice focuses mainly on creditors’ rights both inside and outside Oregon Bankruptcy Court. However, he has been in private practice since 2006, working on legal matters of employment, real estate, tenancy, business torts, securities litigation and contract disputes. His varied practice experience has led to his being six-times-named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” a designation for attorneys who are forty years old or younger and who have been in practice 10 years or fewer.
